Recapping the 2025 UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3)
The 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) was held from June 9-13 in Nice, France. Waterspirit’s Executive Director, Blair Nelsen, attended the conference on behalf of our sponsors, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP). This was her second time attending the Ocean Conference, after UNOC2 in Lisbon. Read a detailed update with photos in this post.

Waterspirit’s Executive Director, Blair Nelsen, will spend the next 8 days at the UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3) representing our sponsors, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. She will participate in in-person and virtual events with Faith in the Ocean, the NGO Mining Working Group, and other civil society collaborators to promote faithful, ocean-honoring actions.
